Uruguayan Environment Minister and Ambassador visit Laemmle

Deputy Minister for the Environment and Ambassador from Uruguay visit LAEMMLE

On 26 August 2024, we were delighted to welcome special visitors to Madetswil: Dr Gerardo Amarilla, Deputy Minister for the Environment and former Speaker of Parliament, and Ambassador Dr Alejandro Garofali from Uruguay. Their visit is a significant mark of appreciation for the work of the KMU Clima Foundation and recognises our participation in the voluntary carbon offset scheme. We had the opportunity to discuss the KMU Clima Foundation’s current projects and initiatives with them. Dr Amarilla and Dr Garofali showed great interest in our efforts to develop sustainable solutions for businesses and to reduce environmental impact through innovative approaches. During the visit, the positive impact of voluntary carbon offsetting was highlighted, as the initiative not only helps to reduce the ecological footprint but also supports social projects in the country that secure jobs for local residents.

We are very grateful for the recognition of our work by these high-ranking representatives and see this visit as further encouragement to continue integrating our products into the circular economy with commitment and passion. We believe in a sustainable economy in which chemicals are developed, produced and used responsibly, so that they have a positive impact on people and the environment.

A big thank you to the KMU Cima Foundation.
