ROXOR TERRA CIRCULAR HV 46 is the first mineral hydraulic oil made from 100% base oils sourced from the circular economy. Its uniqueness is characterised by revolutionary resource conservation and longevity. Compared with conventional mineral hydraulic oils, it offers up to four times the service life and reduces CO2 emissions by 45% from the very first hour of operation compared with fresh oil from the well. We spoke to our project team member Hans Peter Winkler. We want to find out what benefits the product offers customers and how the complex ‘key terms’ can be explained to users in a way they can understand.
Marketing: Hans Peter, what makes this product unique?
Hans Peter Winkler: The base oils are sourced 100% from the circular economy. The additive formulation has been completely overhauled and enhanced with the latest components. This enables us to reach a new level in terms of resource conservation and durability.
What exactly are recycled base oils?
The required molecular chains are extracted from waste oils and reassembled to form new base oils. This process takes place in refineries. As a result of this process, the molecular chains are present in a purer form than they are in crude oil. The entire cycle can thus be repeated seven to eight times. This conserves enormous amounts of resources from the oil well.
How do ‘purer molecular chains’ benefit the user?
Pure molecules ensure fewer deposits and increase ageing stability. Ultimately, this results in cleaner hydraulic systems and fewer oil changes.
As pioneers in bio-lubricants, do mineral oils also form part of your core expertise?
Absolutely. Not every hydraulic system is filled with bio-lubricants. There are various reasons for this. TERRA CIRCUALR HV 46 is not a substitute for bio-lubricants, but it is a sustainable option for customers using mineral oils. Formulating, improving, researching and rethinking hydraulic oils has always been part of our DNA. We love setting new standards in the market.

As a user, what do I need to bear in mind when filling the tank with the new product?
Essentially, nothing. It can be added seamlessly to existing mineral oil systems. The only point to bear in mind is that the full range of performance can only be realised when used as a pure, unmixed fill.
