PANOLIN AG becomes LAEMMLE Chemicals AG

Madetswil, 12 December 2022 – As the lubricants company in Madetswil, ZH
announced today, the company name PANOLIN AG is being changed to LAEMMLE Chemicals AG.
As announced on 2 November 2022, PANOLIN is transferring its ‘Bio-Lubricants’
business division, including the brand rights, to Shell. Shell is also taking over the international
sales structure. PANOLIN will become the global brand for bio-lubricants under the name ‘Shell PANOLIN’. “We are proud that the PANOLIN name is gaining prominence worldwide,”
explains Christian Lämmle, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The company in Madetswil, including production and laboratories, remains with the Lämmle family.
Sarah Mohr-Lämmle and Silvan Lämmle will continue to run the business as owners. Christian Lämmle remains Chairman of the Board.
“As we intend to clearly separate the business divisions in future and the trademark rights are tied to
the organic range, we are changing the company name to LAEMMLE Chemicals
AG,” says Silvan Lämmle, CEO of Marketing and Sales. The name change will be registered in the Commercial Register on 15 December 2022. Until the official publication, the name
PANOLIN AG will remain in use. “We are also changing the oil brand,” adds Sarah Mohr-Lämmle,
CEO of Production and Technology.
The name of the oil brand will be announced in early January 2023. “The brand name
will be different from the company name, but the barrel will remain red,” reveals Sarah Mohr-Lämmle. “New barrel. Same contents. All in all, not much will change for our customers.
We will continue to operate independently on the market with our tried-and-tested premium lubricants in the red barrel,” explains Silvan Lämmle.
New email addresses are now in use. @panolin.com has been replaced by @laemmle-ag.ch. The
parts before the @ remain unchanged.
