Press release
Madetswil, 18 March 2025 – Whilst numerous industrial firms are relocating their production abroad, laemmle-chemicals is resolutely bucking the trend and once again investing heavily in the domestic economy. With the acquisition of an 11,600 m² industrial site in Mönchaltorf in the canton of Zurich, LAEMMLE Chemicals is setting the course for sustainable, future-oriented production – a significant milestone in the company’s history, for Switzerland and for the Zurich Oberland.
New production site for FRIPOO Produkte AG and Amstutz Produkte AG
laemmle-chemicals will consolidate the production of its subsidiaries FRIPOO Produkte AG and Amstutz Produkte AG at this new site, resulting in significant synergies in the use of raw materials, manufacturing processes and the product portfolio. In future, related product categories will be produced at a single site, maximising efficiency and further boosting innovation and cost-effectiveness. The refurbishment work will begin this year, so that, following a phased commissioning process, all production operations will take place there from 2026 onwards. Despite the merger, one thing is guaranteed: the established and successful brands Amstutz, Polyston, Fiesta and Allerno will continue to exist and retain their identity.
Record investment with enormous growth potential
The new site comprises an existing, state-of-the-art 7,500 m² production and warehouse facility, as well as a spacious logistics hub. But that is just the beginning: a reserve of building land provides space for a further hall of the same size. “This is the largest investment in our company’s history,” emphasises Sarah Mohr-Lämmle, CEO and co-owner. “Made in Switzerland is part of our corporate philosophy. We are sending a clear message: laemmle-chemicals is committed to Switzerland as a production country, a hub for innovation and a foundation for sustainable growth!”
A strong signal for Swiss industry
“While other companies are outsourcing their production, we are – and this is not the first time – making targeted investments in the future of Swiss industry,” adds Silvan Lämmle, CEO and co-owner. “With its excellent infrastructure, stable economic situation and secure political environment, we are convinced that Switzerland is the ideal country for manufacturing – and we are making the most of the resulting opportunities for the benefit of Switzerland as a business location and our region.”
