Responsible chemistry: Biodegradable universal lubricating grease with H1 registration
Following on from thebiomass-based ROXOR TERRA PRIME SYNTHbio-hydraulic oil, the ‘Chemistry with Responsibility’ philosophy is continued in the lubricating grease sector with ROXOR AMBIS MARVIS GREASE 2.
This universal lubricating grease is a new product that combines two requirements which have not previously been achieved together: rapid biodegradability in accordance with OECD 301B and H1 registration with 2Probity. This combination is used wherever lubricants may come into contact with water or soil in environmentally sensitive areas. It is also used in sectors with heightened product safety requirements, such as the food, feed, beverage and cosmetics industries.
RROXOR AMBIS MARVIS GREASE 2 is not classified under GHS/CLP and does not require any hazard pictograms or H-statements. This sets a new benchmark for applications where environmental considerations and safety requirements must be taken into account together.
Thanks to its formulation with EP additives, this fully synthetic grease achieves a high load-carrying capacity and has a VKA value higher than that of conventional chassis greases. The base oil and anhydrous calcium thickener ensure mechanical stability, oxidation resistance and protection against wear and corrosion.
The product is lithium-free and can be used in the same way as a conventional chassis grease. The operating temperature range is from –40 to +125 °C and covers typical lubrication points such as rolling and plain bearings, joints, conveyor and drive chains, spindles and rod seals (gland seals).
It is used, amongst other things, in construction, forestry and agricultural applications, as well as in water-carrying systems where direct contact with water is part of the operating environment.
ROXOR AMBIS MARVIS GREASE 2 combines high performance with environmental requirements and H1 registration – in line with the principle of ‘chemistry with responsibility’.
