Benefits at a glance

  • High operational reliability even under peak loads: Temperature- and wear-reducing formulations with carefully selected additives promote trouble-free operation of construction machinery – even in dusty conditions, with frequent load changes and during continuous seasonal use.
  • Predictable maintenance – fewer downtimes: Formulations with long-term stability limit oxidation and oil ageing, enabling extended change intervals – for more predictable maintenance.
  • Reduced consumption in day-to-day construction work: Formulations with low volatility reduce oil consumption; fuel-efficient additives cut operating costs – particularly for high-volume machinery and tightly scheduled projects.
  • Consistent protection under dynamic loads: Shear-stable additives maintain a stable lubricating film even at high temperatures, under pressure spikes and during start-stop operation.
  • Cooling and temperature control systems: Long-term stable antifreeze agents reduce corrosion, limescale build-up and thermal damage, and ensure cooling performance throughout all seasons – even at sub-zero temperatures.
  • Maintenance and value retention on construction sites: Cleaning and maintenance products from laemmle-chemicals remove oil, dust and cement residues and reduce the risk of corrosion damage to surfaces, paintwork and cab components. Windscreen cleaners ensure a clear view even in conditions of heavy dust and dirt, and help to ensure safe machine operation.

FAQs

Mineral hydraulic oils are produced by refining mineral raw materials, such as crude oil. They consist mainly of mineral oils and often contain additives to improve specific performance characteristics, such as wear protection, oxidation resistance and viscosity stability. Mineral hydraulic oils are generally more cost-effective and are frequently used in standard applications where there are no specific requirements regarding temperature stability or environmental compatibility.

Synthetic hydraulic oils are produced through chemical synthesis processes and contain no mineral oils. They often offer superior performance in terms of temperature stability, oxidation resistance and low-temperature properties compared to mineral hydraulic oils. Synthetic hydraulic oils are frequently used in applications involving extreme temperatures, high loads or where environmental compatibility is a key consideration.

ROXOR TERRA CIRCULAR HV 46 is the first mineral hydraulic oil made from 100% base oils sourced from the circular economy. Its uniqueness is characterised by revolutionary resource conservation and longevity. Compared with conventional mineral hydraulic oils, it offers up to four times the service life and reduces CO2emissions reduced by 45% from the very first hour of operation compared with fresh oil from the well.

Yes, it can be seamlessly added to existing mineral oil systems. However, its full performance potential is only realised when used as a pure fill.

The quality of lubricants can be affected by various factors. A change in viscosity, whether due to thickening or thinning, can have a negative impact on lubricity. Furthermore, a cloudy or discoloured appearance may indicate possible contamination or degradation products, whilst an unpleasant odour may suggest oxidation or impurities. Visible particles or deposits in the lubricant are also warning signs of contamination. Excessive heat at normal operating temperatures may indicate that the lubricant has lost its heat dissipation capacity. Performance issues such as overheating or increased wear on machinery may indicate that the lubricant is ineffective. Finally, the age of the lubricant also plays a role, as it can lose its effectiveness after a certain period of time, even if it appears to be in good condition. We therefore recommend regular used oil analysis via our LAEMMLE Tec Centre. Further information can be found under ‘Services’ in the lubricant analysis section.

Lubricant analysis

At our LAEMMLE Tec Centre (LTC), we offer standard oil analyses for hydraulic, engine, gearbox, heat transfer, industrial and gas engine oils. The standard engine oil analysis also includes fuel dilution for diesel and petrol, which is reported as a rough classification (low/medium/high); we can have an exact value in percentages determined by an external laboratory. Our services also include specialised analysis for non-water-miscible metalworking oils. Please do not hesitate to contact our LTC for further information.

Our standard oil analyses for hydraulic, engine, gearbox, heat transfer, industrial and gas engine oils are available from CHF 180 (plus 8.1% VAT). For further pricing information, please contact your usual point of contact or our LAEMMLE Tec Centre directly.
